2011 Events

Sat 18th June, 11am – 2pm – Carnival Fete

Sat 16th July – Carnival Quiz, Haymaker Inn

Sat 20th August – Coffee Morning, Baptist Church, Holyrood Street. 9am – 12pm

Sun 18th September- Motorcycle Run -  Classic Motorcycle Run from the Working Men’s Club, Fore Street, Chard.
Leave 11am, return at approx 3pm. Entry on the day costs £9.
Each entry will receive a cream tea upon return to Chard.

Thurs 22nd September – Carnival Fashion Show with St Margarets Hospice (Autumn/Winter) , Manor Court School, 7pm

Fri 23rd September – Carnival Concert, Holyrood Academy, 7pm

Fri 30th September – Carnival Bingo, Manor Court School, 7pm

Saturday 1st October – Children’s Carnival -  Judging starts at 10:30 am, procession starts at 12 noon. Entry forms available at Sues Flowers in Boden Street, Chard Judging takes place at Manor Court School.
Collectors are able to get tins from Manor Court School from 11:30am

1st – 8th October – Spot the Wrong Un and Window Dressing Competition
Spot the Wrong Un forms can be purchased from Sues Flowers in Boden Street.
This is a children’s activity, where they have to spot the ‘wrong’ item in a shop window. Entry costs 50p.

Sunday 2nd Oct – Carnival Quiz – Chard Carnival General Knowledge Quiz at the Lordleaze Hotel.
Quiz starts at 7pm, entry costs £5 for teams of 4.

Saturday 8th October – Grand Carnival Procession
Procession starts at Numatics,  Tapstone Road, by Tesco.
Chard Goldstar Majorettes and Steve Carpenter from Midwest Radio will begin the procession at 19:25, followed by all other entries at 19:30.

7th June – 16th August  Princess/Miss Chard

Sunday 26th September – Motorcycle Run
